It's no surprise the formula produced by the team at Bounce works wonders. Ping pong, tipples and pizza have proven to be a masterful combination, and they lend themselves tremendously to private events of all kinds, from networking and receptions to product launches. And excitingly, as a unique space for conferences.
Farringdon's Bounce is the original of the now-transatlantic company, with locations also in Old Street and Chicago. The centrally located bar puts equal emphasis on its many facets, curating a menu of globally inspired recipes, focusing on pizza but also offering such delicious dishes as Yorkshire pud filled with pulled ham hock, and truffled wild mushrooms on toasted ciabatta with aged parmesan shavings – all of which are available in the various food and drinks packages for private events.
The Bounce events team have years of experience and works closely with clients to create amazing business events. Whatever your event requires, the team at Bounce work hard to create a bespoke experience for you and your delegates. And then, of course, there's the ping pong. Whether you're encouraging guests to play a game during a break to get those neurons firing before a creative ideas session, Bounce delivers energy into any business event. The venue boasts no fewer than 17 tables, including one from the 2012 Olympics – and we can only assume thousands of balls. You'll find everyone from seasoned table tennis sensations to rusty amateurs sharing tables and launching balls left, right and centre.
Private functions at Bounce, of course, will feature table tennis as a focal point, but the venue also boasts all the contemporary facilities to which business events are accustomed. The main space for hire, for example, offers a cinema screen, HD projector and state-of-the-art presentation system, along with a capacity of up to 200 for theatre-style seating, and up to 550 for standing receptions.
For smaller gatherings, The Jacques Room itself holds up to 120 for standing receptions and contains three ping pong tables, a karaoke system, UV lighting, and a cocktail bar with a dedicated mixologist – all of which create a perfect space for social functions and parties.
Oh, and as for the name of the room, by the way? It refers to J. Jacques & Son, the company that trademarked the name "ping pong". (It was previously widely known as whiff whaff, incidentally.) And, today, Bounce stands on the very site where this happened.
For private events, Bounce also has the added bonus of in-house Games Gurus. And who are these "Games Gurus", you may ask? They're a professional group of ping pong professionals, actors and comedians who'll take players through either a sports day or tournament-style competition, keeping guests entertained whatever the occasion.
