Three City Venues To Watch The World Cup

Not since Ricky Martin hip-gyrated his way to the top of the charts with Cup of Life has such excitement surrounded a Football event. This year's World Cup in Brazil is set to be a cracker and while we might be talking down our chances of victory already, that doesn't mean we won't be watching and cheering louder than ever. And boy, won't we be Livin' la Vida Loca if we manage to bring home the trophy? James Roche reckons his lads could be a bit of a dark horse in the competition. Our Aussie optimist brings us three top venues in the city to watch the World Cup!

Pause Bar

Home to exclusive, high-end events, Pause Bar is about as cool as LL Cool J in an igloo - and that's pretty damn cool.

That being said, things are certainly heating up at this perennial city favourite with the World Cup fast approaching.

Offering a DJ booth, dance floor, stunning bar and delicious catering options, Pause guarantees a highly personalised, VIP experience for you and your Football mates.

Their late license means you can celebrate victory (or drown your sorrows) until the wee hours of the morning, and with all-you-can-eat-and-drink packages from £20 you won't go thirsty. Score!

The Banking Hall

The Banking Hall is a stunning new events and conferencing venue that is sure to prove one of our most popular spaces for hire, particularly in a World Cup year.

The Grade II listed main hall is an awe-inspiring, art-deco events space perfect for large conferences, dinners, exhibitions and receptions, and with its state-of-the-art technical equipment, it also makes an ideal venue to watch all the big cup games. Football fun at one of our hottest new spaces? Now, that's something you can "bank" on ... Ba boom tsk!

The Counting House

You can't help but fall in love with the 19th Century magnificence and rare charm of this grand old establishment. Heading the list of event spaces is The Griffin Room - a true, football-party haven.

Whether standing or sitting, chewing your nails or screaming yourself hoarse, you'll experience all of the magic associated with watching a big game at this tremendous venue.

No matter what the result, you're bound to have an incredible evening at The Counting House. You can, er, count on it. Sorry, even I can't "ba boom tsk" that one.

Our venues will create the atmosphere - you just bring yourself along. It's the next best thing to being at the game! If you've got a hot tip for this year's crown, don't keep it to yourself - share it in our comments section below.
